Embrace your desire to experience a new activity, tighten your balance and paddle your troubles away! Find out why SUP is becoming so popular across the world!
For all you water sport aficionados, craving for activities involving the liquid element whilst savoring Greece’s essences enveloping around you, allow us to introduce you to stand up paddle (SUP) boarding! We provide the required SUP equipment, as well as arrange the whole package, so take a step to book it and spend a couple of hours in a worthwhile fashion, enjoying this amusing activity. The SUP activity takes place in the village of Angelochori, which is only a 45-minute drive from the center of Thessaloniki. The village, due to its land formation, is a famous destination where water sport enthusiasts gather to SUP, wind & kite surf, making the most of the area’s local winds and climate. Aside from the aquatic bedrock, the village offers alternatives to include in your day such as traditional Greek taverns – of course –, visiting the fortress and sunset walks to the lighthouse, an ideal combination!
SUP or stand up paddleboard is an offshoot of surfing that originated in Hawaii. The difference between surfing and SUP is in the paddle and the – obvious – stand up position of the surfer. One of stand up paddle boarding’s unique assets, differentiating it from the rest of the triad, lies within its performance, conducted in a group or individual manner. An experienced instructor will also show you the best locations and hidden spots for the utmost experience! Lay aside your angst as you float carefree and blithely. Furthermore, if you are intrigued by our proposal, don’t forget to check our Yoga SUP session as well, for a more relaxing approach!
Stand up paddle boarding is best appreciated in the morning hours, where the sea is the calmest and most tranquil, enjoying it to the fullest! We suggest coming from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
After you rent the equipment you pretty much have all 3 hours to yourself to plan your aquatic mini-excursion! Make sure to ask the instructors to show you the best spots you can paddle to!
